The GTC Project is a partnership formed by several institutions from Spain and Mexico, the University of Florida, the National Autonomous University of Mexico,and the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC). Planning for the construction of the telescope, which started in 1987, involved more than 1,000 people from 100 companies.It is the world's largest single-aperture optical telescope.

Control System Engineer (Madrid, Feb. 2015 - March 2016):

-Control System implementation of Astronomic High Resolution Multi-Spectrograph for GranTeCan multimillion project.

-Drivers and Controllers implementation to be integrated in a state machine that uses monitors.

-Installation and programming of hardware devices, such as Programmable logic controller (PLC), Pressure, Cryostat Temperature and Engine controllers.

-UNIX Shell Scripting, C++, Java J2EE, CANOpen, TCP/IP, SDO and Serial Protocol.

-Real-time monitoring using a application implemented in Java J2EE.
